It’s Saturday so time for another adventure with Danielle and today we headed out to the Arataki Visitor Centre for an ice-cream.Rather than blat down Scenic Drive in the car though, we took the opportunity to instead walk all the way along Beveridge Track as we’d heard many good things about it from Cath’s Mother who frequently took her dog for strolls that way before moving away from the area.

The track boasts awesome views back to the Auckland’s Sky Tower and right across to the North Shore. A bonus halfway along was arriving at a very well maintained picnic area with awesome views out to the Manukau Harbour.

An obvious choice to try out the tripod Cath bought me for Christmas although the skyline was a little hazy today. We might need to go back when it’s a bit clearer. Something that’s easy enough to do given the track is right on our doorstep 🙂

Anyway, we decided there were too many tourists for us to stop for an ice-cream so we took some pics from the viewing platforms then headed back.
